Several years ago, 3 colorful fact sheets were developed that have remained favorites with early childhood educators. Learning from the success of those materials, we are creating a series called Fast Facts. Each half sheet will have the following characteristics:
- Colorful
- Issue specific
- English on one side/Spanish on the other
- Simple language
- Concise content
- Graphics that portray the message
Materials are “printer ready”. Early childhood programs in Kansas can check with Kathy Hunt, RDH, Project Director of Kansas Cavity Free Kids, khunt@ksheadstart.org to determine if materials are available for shipping.

Oral Health Kansas has developed many resources over the years to help with patient and consumer education. Recently, based on recommendations from one of our partners, we came up with Oral Health Tips and Tricks. These are one page fact sheets: colorful, simple and concise. Primary Tooth Eruption Chart
At birth people usually have 20 primary (baby) teeth, which often erupt about six months of age. They are then shed at various times throughout childhood.The following chart shows when your child's primary teeth (also called baby teeth or deciduous teeth) should erupt and shed. Please note that eruption times can vary from child to child.
Permanent Tooth Eruption Chart
Teeth vary in size, shape and their location in the jaws. These differences enable teeth to work together to help you chew, speak and smile. They also help give your face its shape and form. By age 21, all 32 of the permanent teeth have usually erupted.
